The Lord's Baseball Game

A great short story that I read one day:
Freddy and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team. The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate named 'Love'. Love swung at the first pitch and hit a single, because "Love never fails". The next batter was named 'Faith', who also got a single because "Faith works with Love". The next batter up was named 'Godly Wisdom'. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch. Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass: Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked because he "never swings at what Satan throws". The bases were now loaded. The Lord then turned to Freddy and told him He was now going to bring in His star player. Up to the plate stepped 'Grace'. Freddy said, "He sure doesn't look like much!" Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace. Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen! But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by. He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing on the ground; the roaring crowds went wild as the ball continued over the fence...for a home run! The Lord's team won! The Lord then asked Freddy if he knew why Love, Faith, and Godly Wisdom could get on base, but couldn't win the game. Freddy answered that he didn't know why. The Lord explained," If your love, faith, and wisdom had won the game, you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, Faith, and Wisdom will get you on base, but only My Grace can get you Home; 'For by Grace are you saved, it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 Psalm 84:11, "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withheld from those who walk uprightly."

Poem: My Best Friend

You're at home,
All alone.
Can't wait to see you,
I will see you again.
Please be there, when I get there,
Or will the house be bare?
Wherever you are,
Near or far.
I will be there forever,
I will cease never.
You are my friend,
We'll be here to the end.
Wherever near or far,
I'll be in your heart.
In the end,
We'll be together again.
Maybe now, maybe then,
I know we'll both be in Heaven.
Let me know you're there,
If not, then where?
You're my friend,
We'll see each other again.

Poem: God Helped Me

The beauty of Angels sings in love for me,I am grateful of their time to turn me into what they want me to be.
All the time they took, they could have been doing something else,
I am thankful that God sent help to me,
Because there is a lot of help I need.
If you do not know, your problems are constant,
When you think you have, you have never lost it.
If you think God doesn't help you a lot,
If you think you solved all your problems, believe me, you have not.
God is there for you, God is there for me,
God is there for everything you need.
God is here until the end of time.
He is yours and He is mine.
Everywhere you are, He is there,
He will be there when you're scared.
H will be there, through and through,
He loves you, this is true.
He always watches where you are,
He will always be in our hearts.

Poem: I'll Wait For You

Laying in the water,My eyes closed.
Crimson surrounds me,
The water continuously flows.
Lights and sound have faded,
All the feeling goes.
I open my eyes,
To see you standing there.
Next to my body,
Eyes full of tears you cannot bear.
Pain in your heart,
There's nothing you can do.
It's tearing you apart,
You wonder if you'll pull through.
You kneel down beside me,
Embrace me one last time.
I slowly walk towards you,
Put my hand on your shoulder.
You don't turn around,
But wanting to be bolder.
You let out a heavy sigh,
And slowly turn around.
The tears fall down your face,
But you don't make a sound.
You reach out to me,
To know if this is real.
I take your hand,
And once again I feel.
You smile at me,
But then it slowly fades.
There's sadness in your eyes,
Knowing I'll soon fade away.
I walk closer to you,
And embrace you once more.
I pull away and smile at you,
And say goodbye.
You reach out for me,
As I fade.
With my final words,
I'll say...
I'll wait for you,
Until you come.
As time goes by,
Don't forget me...
I'll wait for you.
